MRCO Team Supports Families Impacted by Ice Storm

Categories:

f you haven’t already heard, a record-breaking ice storm hit the Nashville, TN area on January 24 and 25. A dangerous combination of snow, sleet and ice caused 230,000 simultaneous outages — leaving thousands of families in the area without power.

In response, our Rosa Parks Boulevard Taco Bell team set out to help. Restaurant General Manager (RGM) Virginia Cosby led her squad in cooking up an order for folks at nearby shelters.

Half of the $500 worth of food went to the nearby Nashville Rescue Mission women’s shelter, while the other half went to a temporary shelter-in-place location on Brick Church Pike.

For the shelter-goers, the spread of hard tacos, soft tacos, bean burritos and cheesy bean and rice burritos was a bright spot during a particularly tough time.

“Food brings people comfort.”

Virginia Cosby, Taco Bell Restaurant General Manager

We want to give a huge thank you to Virginia and her team for their thoughtfulness, compassion and willingness to go above and beyond. Their act of kindness is what being a team member at MRCO is all about!
